[She isn't alone because he had been all but ready to just toss aside the dance he had just randomly said. It isn't a good dance and he doesn't even know how to do it. But then they're given fans and now he feels like he has to commit to this.
He opens them up and there's tentacles printed all over the fans.] What? Ugh this place is so weird but...
[He starts his dance, which really just looks like he's just swaying to the music with the fans. This isn't how this dance goes nor is he even really dancing. But maybe he doesn't look too stupid? Hopefully?]
[ Shit, how can she compete with that?! Not only are her fans not even a cute color of tentacles, but he's already showing off his skills right in front of her! Lottie kind of stands there, both bitter and overwhelmed at the turn of events before just..
..Just. Going with it. She's in space, there's octopus people, this random guy with great hair is almost hitting the person next to him with his fan.... What does she have to lose?
She copies his movements, kind of awkwardly and with complete hesitance - she's sweating and her cheeks are red as embarrassment hits her. It's not too terrible, but you can tell almost immediately that Lottie's never danced a real day in her life. She's stiff, stocky with her movements, but trying her best?!! ]
[Izuminokami really isn't that impressive himself but at least he actually knows what the dance is supposed to look like. At least there's that. And maybe she isn't doing the best job at this dance but she definitely is trying and hey, there's no judgment for that! Plus it makes him feel a little more confident even if he is literally shit at this.
But he can be at least a little helpful.] Move your arms like a sparrow! Think...wings. [That's possibly not the best description but it's literally called the sparrow dance so you know, he isn't necessarily wrong and he does seem to be a little less crazy about his arm movements now as he moves them side to side.]
[ A bird?! Lottie doesn't even know what a sparrow looks like! ]
Uh, [ Well, shit, she's too far in anyway, might as well - she tries to follow his instructions as best she can, arms still a little stiff but fairing better than before now that she has direction. She's getting tuckered out pretty quickly though, her movements slowing down and her face a little sweaty. ] I don't, why do you know this?
[ She uses one fan to try and cool herself, while her other arm is dutifully still flapping away. ]
[Izuminokami doesn't exactly look all that impressive though he does have the advantage of being someone who has actually seen the dance. He also isn't breaking a sweat but when you are literally a sword that does battle every day then it's a little easier not to sweat like that.]
